Jason Mogus

Jason is the CEO and principal strategist at Communicopia, a Webby Award winning digital strategy firm supporting social mission organizations. He has led digital transformation projects for the TckTckTck global climate change campaign, The Elders, NRDC, Make Poverty History, the United Nations Foundation, and the City of Vancouver. He is a recognized thought leader in the fields of social innovation, open campaigns, and organizational change towards network models through technology.

Jason is the founder and an anchor of the Web of Change community of senior leaders working at the convergence of technology, organizing, and social change. He was a founding partner and board member for 6 years with BC Social Venture Partners, a venture-style philanthropy where 70 business leaders donate money and time to help innovative non-profits reach sustainability and scale. He was a founding board member of Canadian Business for Social Responsibility and is a long time member of the Social Venture Network in the US.

He has won a Webby, a We Media “Game Changer”, a “Top 40 Under 40”, and the BC Technology Industry Association’s first “Leadership in Social Responsibility” Award. A popular presenter, he has been featured in media such as the New York Times and CBC’s The National, has led workshops for the Justice Institute, Simon Fraser University, and the Hollyhock Foundation, and been a speaker at numerous conferences in Vancouver and across North America.
