Loreto Bay Marks Earth Day with Updated Report

Our client Loreto Bay is marking Earth Day 2007 with an important update on their progress towards reaching their world leading sustainability goals. Loreto Bay is building a 5,000 home walkable community in an gorgeous seaside town in Baja, Mexico. Recent milestones on the project include recycling 74% of all their construction waste, awarding over $900,000 in marine conservation and local economic development grants, restoring an important wetlands estuary, creating the largest mangrove nursery in Mexico, offsetting all air travel emissions, and moving closer to full wind power generation at the Villages of Loreto Bay.

"Sustainable development is a reality at Loreto Bay,'" said Jim Grogan, presidentPhoto of Jim Grogan and CEO of Loreto Bay Company. "We'll produce more energy from renewable sources than we consume; we'll harvest more potable water than we use; and there will be more biodiversity, biomass and habitat than existed when we started. We're proud to set this standard and hope that future developers in Baja California Sur will follow suit."

We've been proud to work with Loreto Bay leading all of their online marketing activites since 2005. It's been rewarding to watch their strong commitments continue to achieve important milestones. If all new developments were done this way the world would be a much different place! You can read their full press release on CSR Wire here.
